CAD-CAM

Our high end CAD-CAM facilities use the latest version of Solidworks, AutoCad and BobCAM to produce detailed 3D models, drawings and CAM toolpaths.

The combination of CAD programmes allows us to take customer drawings ranging from hand drawn sketches to importing customers own 3D models, which can then be imported into CAM where we create code for the CNC machines for the manufacturing of components.

Preferred file extensions are .dxf, .step, .dwg, .iges, .stl but can also be in a wide range of other extensions.

Simulated machining within BobCAM allows us to verify that the toolpaths produced will machine the components correctly before any material is actually cut, thereby reducing lead times and costly mistakes.

All our software is kept up to date to the latest available and installed on high specification computers for reliability.
